Golden Heat: Jalapeño Jaloro Seeds
Grow the first golden yellow jalapeño with Jalapeño Jaloro Seeds! Developed by the Texas Agriculture Extension Service in 1992, this vibrant heirloom variety is not just a feast for the eyes but also a powerhouse of disease resistance. With its striking yellow hue ("Oro" means gold in Spanish), the Jaloro stands out in both gardens and dishes.
Why Choose Jalapeño Jaloro Seeds?
These open-pollinated seeds grow into vigorous compact 24" plants, perfect for containers, yielding an abundance of 2" long, thick-walled peppers. Unlike traditional jalapeños, Jaloro peppers are milder (5,000 Scoville heat units) and transition from pale gold to orange and red when fully ripe. Their juicy flesh is ideal for poppers, salsas, or adding a colorful kick to meals.
Each packet contains 10 seeds.
Garden-Friendly & Resilient
Jaloro plants are TMV-resistant and thrive against six common pepper viruses, ensuring a bountiful harvest. For best results, start indoors 8 weeks before warm nights, using 85°F bottom heat. Germination takes 7–21 days.
Ready to grow a golden harvest? Plant Jalapeño Jaloro Seeds today and spice up your garden—and plate—with this unique, disease-resistant gem!
